The rules for using Pinned, in plain language. Please read them, especially if you join as an agent or business.

1. Agreeing to these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and Pinned ("we" or "us"). By using the Pinned website or creating an account, you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use Pinned.
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to create an account.
2. What Pinned is, and isn't
Pinned helps people moving within or between Canada and the USA compare places by lifestyle and connect with local real estate agents and moving businesses.
We are not a real estate brokerage. We don't represent buyers or sellers, negotiate deals, or take part in any transaction. Agreements you make with an agent or business are between you and them.
We don't take a cut of commissions or pay or receive referral fees for sending you to an agent. Agents and businesses may pay us flat fees for subscriptions or advertising.
Information here is general. Moving guides, climate, cost of living, travel times, risk scores, exchange rates and calculators are estimates for comparison only. They are not legal, tax, immigration, financial or mortgage advice. Check anything important with the official source or a licensed professional.
Listings come from agents. Agents post their own listings and are responsible for them. We don't guarantee that a listing is accurate, current or still available.
3. Your account
Give accurate information and keep it up to date.
Keep your password private. You're responsible for what happens under your account.
One account per person or business. Don't pretend to be someone else.
You can stop using Pinned at any time, and ask us to delete your account from the Contact us page.
4. Extra rules for agents and businesses
If you join as a real estate agent or a moving business, you also agree that:
You hold, and will keep, every licence and registration your work requires, and the details you give us are true. Your profile stays hidden until we've checked them, and we can unpublish it if they lapse or turn out to be wrong.
You follow the laws and professional rules that apply to you, including real estate advertising rules, privacy and anti-spam laws (such as CASL in Canada and the TCPA and CAN-SPAM Act in the USA), RESPA, and fair housing and human rights laws.
You only post a listing when the seller has agreed to it being advertised here and your brokerage has approved it, and you keep listings accurate and mark them sold or remove them promptly.
You only use the details people send you through Pinned to answer their request, and you stop contacting anyone who asks you to.
Our verification is a basic check, not an endorsement. You alone are responsible for your services.
5. What you post
You keep ownership of what you post, such as listings, photos, profiles, questions and answers. You give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, show, copy and share it on Pinned and in promoting Pinned, for as long as it's on the site.
Only post content you have the right to share. Don't post anything that is false or misleading, discriminatory, hateful or harassing, someone else's private information, spam, or anything illegal. We can remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules. To report something, use the Contact us page.
6. Using the site fairly
Don't copy or scrape listings, profiles or contact details, or use them to build lists or send marketing.
Don't try to break, overload or get around the security of the site, or access accounts or data that aren't yours.
Don't use Pinned to send spam or unwanted messages.
7. Paid plans and advertising
Some features, like agent subscriptions, Pinned+ and advertising, may cost money. We'll show you the price and what's included before you pay. Ads on Pinned are clearly labelled, and we don't endorse the advertisers.
8. Other people's sites and services
Pinned links to other websites and to agents and businesses we don't control. We aren't responsible for their content, services or how they handle your information.
9. Disclaimers and limits on our responsibility
We work to keep Pinned accurate and running, but we provide it "as is" and can't promise it will always be available, error-free or right for your situation.
To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for losses that come from your dealings with agents, businesses or other users, or from decisions you make using estimates on the site. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that can't be waived, including in Québec.
10. Suspending or closing accounts
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, puts others at risk, or that we're required to close by law. Where it's reasonable, we'll tell you why.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as Pinned grows. We'll change the date at the top, and tell account holders about important changes before they take effect. If you keep using Pinned after that, the new terms apply.
